![]() So you want to use homebrew? Well, to do that you must start here. ![]() Step 1: Make sure you have an SD card with at least 2GB free space (I personally recommend 8GB but 2GB is the minimum.) Make sure it is formatted to FAT32. Step 2: You need to find your Wii MAC Address. To find this, follow these simple steps:ġ: On the Wii Menu, click on the Wii button in the bottom left.ģ: In the settings menu, navigate to the second page and select Internet.ĥ: The MAC Address will be displayed there. Once you’re there, you should see something like this You will need it later.įor our specific Wii version, we will be using the Letterbomb exploit. What you need to do is select your region at the top (U=North America, E=Europe, J=Japan, K=Korea). Once you have done that, type in your MAC address in the boxes given. Make sure to check “Bundle the HackMii Installer for me”. Solve the captcha and cut one of the wires (It doesn’t matter which one). Ok, now that the exploit is setup, we need to run it on our Wii.Įxtract it and put the contents on the root of your SD Card. To do this, plug in the SD Card to your Wii and once you have done that, click the envelope icon on your Wii Menu in the bottom right. Then, depending on your time zone, the exploit will be located in a different spot. ![]() It could be on today’s date, tomorrow’s date, or yesterday’s date, or some other recent date. Anyway, once you have found the right date, you will see a red envelope with a bomb in it. Once you click on it, you will see some weird text on the screen. ![]() You are now in the HackMii Installer which should look somewhat like this (The BootMii part may vary on different Wii’s.): On the warning screen, after a minute or so a message will appear telling you to press 1 to continue. Now that you are in the HackMii Installer, we can use this to install The Homebrew Channel and BootMii. To start, press Continue and and scroll to Install Homebrew Channel, press it, and then press yes and when it’s done press Continue. Once in BootMii, this is where I have some explaining to do. Ok so, if you bought your Wii before Q4 2008, you will have the option to install BootMii as boot2 or IOS. ![]()
